Norway... The Kevin Nolan who the world could see isn't working for us, and was undroppable by his mate, who was injured yesterday and forced our manager to do something different, which, I'm sure was just a coincidence, worked and we played some good football.
That one Yeah?

I would actually prefer David Sullivan as our manager quite frankly.

Shits down the opposition?

Are we signing Paula Radcliffe?

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
Thing is that 5% makes all the difference. It's the striker who takes chances, the midfielder that drives the game, or the defender that shits down the opposition.

Most Prem games are tight affairs, with a bit of class usually making the difference between points and none. 5% doesn't sound much but it's the difference between top 6 and bottom six.

There's probably only three wins between a good season and a poor one.

Last year he was telling everyone a big transfer budget didn't matter and only improves you by 5%

I think you'd have to be a bit of a mong not to understand what Sam meant when he said that. Lets see if Liverpool improve 5% on last season.

Weird how the hatred just can't be held back. The spite aimed at Nolan, is from the same people. Strange, that when we do the 'views from the opposition', Nolan gets rated quite highly.
He isn't any world beater, but he is a decent captain and player.
Just relax, get behind the team and stop spitting venom. Sam will go, when he goes.

shame finishing position is not based on how much the managers paid, we'd be in the champions league

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
Last year he did not say that he said that a big budget can get you the small percentage improvement necessary to turn results around.

There's no doubt that he says many things that are risible. There is also no doubt that his haters will reinterpret or misinterpret what he says deliberately to make a negative point about him.

Nolan will be this cunt manager's downfall...

No other top-flight club would play him let alone make him fucking club captain...

As repeated in posts in most other threads. Nolans selection is tied up with the issues in midfield. While he is a starter nothing will change IMHO.

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
We will do well to finish 10th IMHO. He has not addressed the root of all our problems in central midfield. Nothing will change until we can keep the ball and provide much better movement across the middle. Up front we now have some options but they will be starved of decent service in many games IMHO.

My expectation is lower than his sadly. Survival again is my only hope not even an expectation and then for him to move on now. I had always hoped he might be able to grow as a manager with a club like West Ham where he has had better financial backing than at any other club he has been at and while many on here told me he couldn't change, I thought he could. I was wrong and they were right. He is like that old saying about cars in years gone by something about the colours they come in being "different shades of black" :(

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
This just fucks me off, as it lays down the mind set of the club to finish 10th or 11th. Every player etc can read this and say "hey 10th is acceptable that's what i have to do", nothing more just that".

Allardyce is such a negative c-nt, always making out we can't do this and that. If we do get anywhere near his target then he can say what a great manager he is. The guy just needs to fuck off.

'Across the board, you generally finish around where your wage budget lies'

So does it not matter who the manager is then? It just depends on how much you spend, that's it?

The fella needs shooting.

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
Most of what he has said is true. I don't always agree with him but he is making some valid points.

Allardyce gets a lot of flack but the owners have known for a while now that Carroll is going to be out for a minimum of half the season, after he gets match fit, at best, and they haven't really replaced him with a proven experienced goal scorer? Instead they signed a Ligue 2 striker on the cheap.

It's the same with the defence, the owners haven't learned anything from last season. They should of signed a 4th choice CB as soon as the window opened, 1 game in Collins is suspended and Tomkins is injured, leaving 1 first team CB available who could be off himself any day.

Allardyce can only work with what is given to him and the owners are as much to blame for not putting up the funds to get the quality in that is needed, instead choosing to go the cheap option.

For me, it's not even the need to be entertained but the continual tent-pissing-and-telling-us-it's-raining that annoys me. I'd be content and shut my mouth if we were actually top 10 and being fairly successful with his tactics but the truth is that we ain't so he can't even use winning as a justification, given West Ham's form.

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
If a league position is dictated solely by wage structure or transfer spending, bar anamolies, then it would suggest that all managers will get pretty much the same results.

He's not doing himself any favours with that line of reasoning given that he's one of the best paid ones on the planet. We could just get someone cheaper in and increase our player wages/transfer spend and thereby improve our league position.

Re: BFS opens his big mouth again.
Who knows what he is like in the dressing room but you want a manager making his players feel 10ft tall.
Be respectful but tell us how we are going there to WIN.

Tired and bored and out of time. Time to go
